The article titled above in "The Saturday Paper" week ended June 12, is a long- overdue story by Professor Brendan Lyon. Six years ago, he blew the whistle on conflicts of interest and a potential multi- billion dollar hole in the NSW state budget. At the time, he worked at KPMG and is now a professor,- at the University of Wollongong. He deserves acclamation from all of us. The article by Ben Butler in this paper is extremely informative as he blows the whistle on KPMG, and to quote one part here, "The claims against KPMG, revealed under parliamentary privilege by Labor's Senator Deborah O' Neill and the Greens Senator Barbara Pocock over the past month, reached a climax last week when the firm admitted its initial internal investigations "lacked rigour." "Yates and the firm's head of audit, Julian McPherson, both resigned." " On Wednesday, chief operating officer Eileen Hoggett stood down, although she remains a partner."

"KPMG promises to reinvestigate the whistleblower's allegations and rebuild trust with the community"

This latest scandal involves allegations of misconduct within the audit division, which is responsible for checking the financial probity of Australia's biggest companies. It was only' in-late 2024, that PWC International Limited was involved in miscreant behaviour with the Federal Government and the Australian Taxation Office. It was barely a year later, reports surfaced, that the government had concluded that PWC Australia was an ethically sound company, recommending the end of long- term bans.???????.

From the Ben Butler article, it is quite obvious that the big four accounting/auditing firms are complicit in deceiving the Nation and, in particular, our politicians, who enjoy their largesse.

A Parliament of independent parliamentarianists, sworn to serve the interests of the people and not themselves, would save the Nation Billions of dollars annually. Our politicians are parasites>.
