Preamble

They will be subject to the principles / ideals of the movement, enunciated in the published booklet of the mbg.

The aims of the mbg are completely altruistic and grassroots inspired. The only members financially rewarded will be those candidates elected to parliament who will receive Parliamentary salaries and entitlements prescribed by Parliament.
All other members will be regarded as volunteers, except when or if it becomes necessary to appoint full time professional management in each electorate and a national office.

Membership
There will be two types of membership.
-
Those who undertake to vote at election time to support the nominated candidate/s of the relevant electorate committee..
-
Those who in addition to the aforesaid, will be prepared to volunteer a reasonable amount of time when called for assistance.

Committees
As membership grows it is envisaged that each electoral chapter will appoint a management committee of no more than ten and a selection committee of no more than five members of repute , in their chapter. Initially, at least members of committees will be unpaid .

Membership meetings will be called and held from time to time. In the event of vacansies occurring on any or either committee, replacement will be by a vote of the members of each electoral chapter. Attendance at meetings will be at venues to be selected and/or ZOOM. Ballots will be recorded using membership numbers. All members will be expected to participate in general meetings as and when called.

Funds management
As the movement will never hold members funds,(no membership fees or donations) we will when supporting candidate nominations, request from members only ,subscriptions of nominal amounts of money to fund electoral expenses at each polling station in each electorate. These funds will be collected , managed and accounted for by each committee. A similar arrangement will be necessary if or when funds are required to install full time professional staff to manage each individual electoral chapter.

Custody of membership lists will be the responsibility of the management committee of each electoral chapter, as well as any excess funds that may be accrued at any given time.
