A report in the Guardian this week, that the government is seriously considering allowing PWC to be welcomed back, appears premature to say the least. It is less than a year since the news broke that PWC International was carrying out deceitful and dishonest, even nefarious practices, in relation to their services, to our ATO.

We now learn that the government , ie* the finance department, has found that PWC Australia is an ethically sound company and recommended the end of a long-term ban.

This despite an ongoing police investigation into the company. The firm, which sold its entire consulting business for just $1 at the height of the scandal, they had created, to a spin-off functionary, "Scyne Advisory". Surely we, the voters, are entitled to know the full truth about this whole disgraceful episode. "The Australian Federal police has confirmed it is still investigating how confidential Treasury information about draft taxation was shared by a former PwC Australia partner to win private sector work overseas."

Apparently, Senator Katie Gallagher, the current Finance Minister, is seeking feedback from the two senators, Barbara Pocock and Deborah O' Neill - who have said previously, they do not believe the ban should be lifted until the police investigation is concluded. Finally, the name " Syne Advisory" materialises from - WHERE.? Googling the name "Scyne Advisory" informs us that it seems to appear at the time of the scandal. They are registered with ASX and ASIC and have an independent chairperson, a staff appointed director, 2 additional non-excecutive directors and 2 additional directors representing the majority shareholder. It is difficult establishing who the majority shareholder is. Surely, transparency should enable observers to discover, who the majority shareholder is ?

It also appears that no individual or group of people have been indicted.

Mr Prime Minister, please explain? Just another example of how our two-party system of government continues to treat, we the voters, with contempt. Become a member of
