Simply because they worry about the other party getting into Parliament.

The co alition primarily because they want to protect their friends in the mining industries, thereby ensuring their supply of funds from vested friends. No matter that climate change is the most serious issue in the world and to hell with Humanity.

Labor, the Current government is also worried about their union friends involved in the mining sector. But more importantly they are terrified of losing government.

While both of the two party politicals are afraid to admit, that stopping the fossil fuel sector in particular, will severely affect budgets for a period. The facts have to be faced.

Neither of the parties is prepared to face this fact, either because they think the voters are too stupid but more likely because they will have to address the issue and find solutions. It is a problem that has to be faced so get to it. Urgently.

Stop worrying about their vested interrests and think of the nation and our future.

Over the decades they have always taken the easy way. Now do your jobs and earn your munificent pay packets.
