The article in "The Saturday Paper" w/ended Nov 1/2024 titled "The Kings beseech" by Paul Bongiorno highlights the bravery of Senator Lidia Thorpe, when she confronted the current King and his current wife in the halls of parliament. Proclaiming "you are not my King" and "give us a treaty" brings home the fact that we Australians still need to come to terms with the legacy of our history. We are one of the last commonwealth countries without a treaty.
