The(famous) two party system.

The article in last weeks "The Saturday Post" titled" The Albanese Doctrine" is of concern, if only because it seems to be raising historical Labor Party issues rather than the fact that the government should be being supported by its Intelligentsia during this period in government.

The fact that the so called opposition is obviously concerned, not one iota about it's roll in parliament, which is it's place in the importance of running the Country. Rather it is fixated with campaigning in readiness for the next Election and to hell with the interrests of the Nation. Unfortunatly this is the ongoing price we the voters pay for allowing the Party Political system to flourish while issues of state are pushed aside.

The cost and waste of running our Parliament is constantly ignored so that all the Parties can take part in the adversarial milieu that prevails from year to year, even decades. Thankfully, we the Nation are not embroiled currently, in repeats of the incessant internecine lardereship battles that have occured (6) since November 2007 until the 2019 election. During this time, governing the Country is largely forgotten. The media of course, revel at these occassions also ignoring their responsobilities to the Nation.

A parliament staffed with independent, non aligned members comitted to the interrest of the Nation and sworn to act with the highest level of honesty, decency and integrity would enable Australia to become the worlds first true democracy.
