The Coalition's coal-keeper plan.

The article in the bumper edition of "The Saturday Paper" by Mike Seccombe, titled as above, is a must-read for all Australians. It is alarming to think that we, the nation, could become governed by a political party that continues to deny "climate change". While it may be feasible, even justifiable, that Australia could resort to nuclear energy at some time in the future, as we continue to grow the nation, it is pure politics that motivates the Coalition at this time. The fact that almost all, if not all, the nations of the world are endeavoring to limit carbon emissions in the future, but also urgently, must surely make the people of our country, damned fools if we install a Coalition government at the next election.
We can be relatively certain that the Coalition's motives, are simply to look after their vested friends of the fossil fuel industry, and to hell with the safety of the rest of the World. Unfortunately, the present Government is not above reproach in this context. During their time in this Parliament, they have discretely approved new mining leases and extensions, despite the belief of the majority of the nation, that no new coal and gas extractions were to be allowed. This of course was to satisfy their union friends and the mine owners.
As we are now entering the election campaigning season, we are all going to have to put up with months of lies and deceit in various forms of media that are the norm. The political parties, particularly the two majors, have long since lost sight of their original raison d'etre, which was to govern only in the interests of the people and not their own self- interest. The "Movement for Better Government" with the help of the people of Australia will eventually, convert us to a true democracy. The booklet titled "Australia's/undemocratic/democracy" is available free of charge via. the website www. movementforbettergovernment.com.au. Hard copies are available via post, free of charge, just forward your mailing address, including your electorate.
