Pork barelling is being revived.

It seems the Labor government is back in the saddle embarking on the famous grants programmes, similar to the coalitions "Sports rorts" of 2020. Apparently they are pursuing two grants currently that will favour Labor held seats or interrests.

Fortunately the federal, independent member for Indi in Victoria, Helen Haines has introduced a Bill to Parliament "The End Pork Barrelling Bill". If it gets up it will be a giant step forward for we the people. As she says "I think its' what Australian people want."

"They know they get pork barrelled. They know it's on the nose and they know it is a waste of public funds in many cases"

The Centre for Public Integrity's Geoffrey Watson SC is reported as saying " I don't think we would have a National Anti Corruption commission" but for Helen Haines.

Another example of how we need independent parliamentarians. Become a member.
