The article by mike Seccombe in this weeks The Saturday Paper titled "No, Peter there is not a flotilla of boats coming." clearly illustrates the fact that the leader of the opposition,is Australia's version of USA's Trump. He lies with no compunction in the same way as Trump. God help us if he becomes our next Prime Minister;

He claims the government has ripped $600 million out of border enforcement ,when in fact the government has spent or budgeted $470 million more,than the coalition projected in its last budget. Further, it has been said that during the period from December 2014 to march 2021 when he was minister for immigration and home affairs, we recorded an influx of asylum seekers far greater than under Labor. In fact there were between 100,000 and 120,000 asylum applications lodged while he was in charge, apparently by far the largest number of asylum applications under any minister in our history.

There is so many areas that he has told blatant lies. No the current government is not beyond reproach,now or historically, but compared to the coalition they are pure as freshley fallen snow. It hurts to say that,because with a parliament of indepemdents from the movement for better government, we would never have to put up with such deceit and dishonesty. Become a member?
