The article by Kylea Tink in the current edition of "The Saturday Post" is an excellent read with great detail. I feel sure that Ted Mack would be extremely pleased with her sucession to the electorate. Her entry "An Environment Protection Australia with no national environmental standards is like a car chassis without an engine- It might look good on the outside but won't go anywhere"

Tink makes so many solid points about this isue it is hard to go on. Perhaps the simple logic is that the government is trying to divert attention from their questionable amendment of legislation to enable approval of the Barossa gas project, almost certainly with tacit support of the opposition.

Departmental approval was publishaed at 5.15 pm the wednesday before Easter while the actual decision a full two weeks earliar on March 15. Why????.

Conoco Philips who had withdrawn from the project by March 2019 having come to the conclusion that building a carbon capture storage was not a reasonable proposition.

Santos wil apparently have to iutilise CCs for the project to proceed, despite the negative effect upon Climate Change and our emission targets.
