Labor's way forward.

An article in last weeks The Saturday Paper by Bill Kelty titled "Labor's way forward" is honest and valid on so many points he raised. There is no doubt the Albanese government is doing a good job straighteming out the many issues created by the former Coalition government. Most voters must surely recognise the incompetence and deceit of the previous government, especially under the leadership of Scott Morrison. However,

Kelty should also be cognizant of the faillings of the Labor government on a number of issues currently in their bailiwick.

The most critical at this time is their handling of Climate change. The prime issue is the need to halt any new approvals to extract fossil fuel operations. Since taking government they have (discreetly) approved a number of new applications, all of which will be extremely harmfull to our suppossed emmissions targets. This is without doubt the most serious matter for Australia and other nations, at this time. Sure it is a very difficult matter to address. But face it, we the nation have to.There is no doubt it will have serious impact on our future economy, but we ALL have face up to this problem. A parliament of independent members answerable only to their electors and the people, would address these and other such important issues.
