An article by Jason Koutsoukis in last week's "The Saturday Paper" about the decision not to implement a ban on gambling advertising, despite intense lobbying and public support, is soul- destroying.

Apparently, a close relationship between our Prime Minister and Peter V'landys, the chair of the Australian Rugby League Commission and CEO of Racing NSW , has again been central to delaying reforms of gambling advertising.

Not just online gambling." I don't think it would be a shock to anyone that V'landys told the PM, don't do it" ,with regard to this issue. In keeping with this advice, Andrew Dillon , chief executive of the"Australian Football

League" (AFL) has mattered a close second in this debate. The fact that these sporting interests have become so dependent upon what can best be descibed as "social wrongs" and a distinct drain on the least financially secure of society, is a matter where we the people, tell the party politicians to stop electioneering and think of the future of the nation.

Have they, the two-party system ever had any semblance of decency and ethics.? NO, we all know(or those of us who despise the adversarial system of government) that the constant kow- towing of both sides, to their vested interest friends ( the rampant capitalists) who don't give a shit about Climate Change or our economic future, even survival of mankind, refuse to make Australia a True democracy. There is no doubt that the voters are embarked on a transfer, to a parliament of Independents, there to govern in the interest of good government and honesty. Time will tell and hopefully, the next election. The Coalition, who are the most dishonest of the two majors, should never again be given the opportunity to run our Country. Labor, if given the choice to govern after the next election, will hopefully, see the error of their ways and their friendships.
