How to fix capitalism.

Visiting economist Mariana Mazzucato expresses a number of ways to fix capitalism. All of which are probably valid ,and I hesitate to challenge. However I do have an opinion though I am not an economist.

My contention as it applies to Australia, is that our successive governments, being party politicians are afraid of capitalists. Particularly as they always fear the loss of those donations they receive. Donations with vested interrest.. Rampant, greedy capitalists who in the main pursue industries such as our natural resources and gambling, etc have always been allowed to over develop for the sake of profits. Bugger the consequences, as we can observe the way in which they lobby continuation of fossil fuel projects despite knowing that Climate Change is a serious threat to our future.. Additionally, they lobby for excesses of Gambling knowing full well of the damage it causes to Mr. and Mrs. average.

Those capitalists who invest in more normal activities such as manifacturing , agriculture etc. are not to be vilified as long as they operate within our laws and pay their taxes ??. Thats why we need the movement for better government and a parliament of independent members, committed to acting in the interrest of we the people, with honesty and integrity at all times.
