A recent "West Report" article by Michael West and Joshua Barnett reveals that Google Australia has reported revenue of $1.988 billion for the year, with tax payable of $83 million. The" West Report" challenges this report, claiming that their accounting is a sham. Google discloses, way down in the back, of its notes to the accounts, that apparently they siphoned out $8.2B in"service fees" to associates of its parent Company - Alphabet. The "West Report" writers believe, referring to their related party transactions, that Google is a $10 billion company masquerading as a $2 billion company. As already stated, Google's accounting is a sham. A comment from West Media reads, " Interestingly the group discloses that it employed 2190 people in 2024. As total employee benefits expense came in at $990m for the year( covering wages, super, share-based payments, and short- term bonuses), this equates to an average cost per employee of $452,200 apiece." It appears they are all well remunerated.

Their auditors(EY,) charged $599,000 for its auditing services in 2024, a 68.7% increase from the $355,000 paid in 2023. "Such is life in multinational tax avoidance land."

My comment is, when are our party- politicians, posing as our governments, genuinely going to govern in the interest,- of we the people.?
