We Australia, have since the arrival of the first fleet been badly governed by the Home office and subsequently,after the institution of the States and politicians assuming they could do better, corruption set in.

Finally when we were (sort of) allowed to become self governing, we federated the then states and developed our Conststituion.

From the beginning, the politicians who formed parties and achieved government always sort the easy way to manage the Nation.

From the early theft of land we initially rode on the sheeps back, then the successive gold rushes. Always the easy way for the administrarors and of course the subsequent policing combined with corrupt magistracy, the people thought we were doing well.

This continued with the extractive industries such as coal and other minerals followed by fossil fuels up to today.

The politicians never gave consideration to the inevitable damage to our environment.

They were always too busy getting their snouts in the trough of their rampant capitalistic friends, who of course were never averse to largesse.

This behaviour continues today.

Climate change is deffinitely a world threat, but our two major parties also known as the two party system think only of the easy way. There is no way, that addressing the urgent need to unwind the past mining and extractive industries for the future of mankind, is not going to create problems with our economy.

The fact that our two party system has for at least the last two decades elected to ignore the threat too our nation,by the institution of so called sequestration with the granting of carbon credits. The (so called) safeguard mechanism is a sham and our politicians know the truth. The current Labor Government is fully complicit. We hsve to stop these pradtices.
