All Gas and Gaiters, but not funny.

A recent series of articles by the" Michael West Media" journalists, on the facts and truth re. the deceit of the Gas industry in Australia, need to be read in full.

We all know or should know, about the terrifying extremes that the fossil fuel industries have reached in the USA. When one reads the aforementioned articles, it is terrifying to discover that we (Australia), have been and still are being lied to, by our political masters-, when it comes to our fossil fuel industry. Fifty years ago it was probably acceptable but when an industry such as this, rabbits on about the risks, we should be aware that it is we, the people who have always taken the risks. Conseccutive governments have negotiated and signed contracts and agreements to which the nation receives little benefit and then discover that our party politicians are selling our resources at give away prices. A quote by Michael West in one article reads, " The gas cartel must have seen Australia as investment heaven- an attractive investment landscape where they could divert domestic gas to assist in their profitable export business, simultaneously price gouging the locals, while paying little to no company tax nor royalties."

Apparently, the National Cabinet is to consider capping the gas price at $12 when they meet shortly. At that price, the government is gifting super profits to the gas cartel at the expense of Australians.

No doubt, the "two- party system" will claim that it will adversely effect the economy!

But, so will "Climate Change." All of these deleterious effects will never be faced by our lobbyists? Just their vested interests.
