The above title is an article in this week's "The Saturday Paper" by Mike Seccombe. He quotes the opinions of two of our independent parliamentarians "Senator David Pocock and Rep. Kate Chaney" on this extremely important issue. That the government should propose a bill on electoral changes so obviously targeted at furthering the interests of the Two-party system, is amazing. Amazing that they would try to pursue such a contentious matter with an election pending. It is of course, not surprising that the major parties would try to further a bill so clearly aimed at undermining the growing influence of the crossbench, if not just the increasing volume of Independents.

A quote in an earlier article by Jason Koutsoukis, that special minister Don Farrell ,when asked if his bill would entrench the two-party system quipped " I mean, that's the fucking point" shows his and his party's complete contempt for us the voters.

Become a member of the movement for better government and we can stop all this rot.
