The ongoing reports in "The Saturday Post" and others, of the behavior of Pwc International limited and no doubt, the other international accountancy/auditing practices would be shocking, but for the fact that we are not surprised. But for the fact that most of us had for a very long time, assumed these enterprises were above reproach and of the highest integrity, one cannot escape the feeling that we have been cheated.

It is now obvious that all of these so-called pillars of society, have feet of straw and are nothing but simple crooks.

The fact that our political masters have for decades ascribed to the belief, that the tax payer would never doubt their integrity, is because we the voters had the misplaced trust that they would always look after our interests, unfortunately. The fact that our political masters (The Two party system) have become an extension of these egregious, greedy capitalistic bastards that have ensconced themselves in Canberra, as the better way of governing the nation. Similar to the egregious cohort of Lobbyists.

If we are ever, as a nation, to wake up to the fact that there is a better way of governing, we must start to consider the alternatives. One alternative is to pursue the ideals of a parliament of independent members, selected by their individual electorates, voted for and installed by their electorate, and sworn to always act with the highest degree of honesty, integrity, and in the interest of the nation.
