state of Independents

The article by Karen Barlow in this week's "The Saturday Paper" titled " The rules have changed": "Inside the push for a teal party" is, in its own way, being driven by the media. But, the institution by the Labor Government of new rules regarding donation reform, blatantly favouring the two- party system is no doubt the other reason. Here again is a typical example of the way, over many decades, the two- party situation has enabled them to push legislation that benefits the party system at the disadvantage of any independents who operate only in the interest of their electorates, as well as the nation at large. The two-party system has continually targeted the big end of town, relying upon the vested interests of wealthy capitalists and, of course, the extractive industries, such as coal, gold and, gas. In the post 2nd world war period , particularly, despite the growing awareness of "climate change, these rampant capitalists have ruthlessly pursued their own interests. Refusing to consider the definite interest of the Nation and world at large. We have to get rid of these parasite, politicians.

A parliament of independents, whether part of the "movement for better Government" or not, is a better alternative. www.movementforbettergovernment.com.au
