An obsessive Gina Rinehart.

The article in this week's "The Saturday Paper" by Mike Seccombe, titled "An obsessive part of the vision", is terrifying to contemplate. Her father, who stumbled on a mountain of iron ore in remote West Australia, was gifted a fortune by the politicians who happened to be in government at the time. Our party politicians, who have always been very good at mishandling our national resources, apparently gifted terms to him, that were extremely generous. A policy that has prevailed, virtually--, since Federation. That is why, to this day, we Australians have never benefited from our natural resources to the extent that other nations have. The fact that she is extremely wealthy now, is not surprising.

There would appear to be little doubt that she is an admirer of Donald trump and his MAGA cohort, and is trying to gain control of our Nation in much the same way as those rampant USA billionaires who have purchased control of the US Supreme Court. Thankfully and hopefully, she wont succeed, although she seems intent on pursuing such an endgame. Media reports regarding her ruthless treatment of some of her own children in recent years-, do not portend well for Australia, if she ever gains political control. GOD HELP US!
